Its historical decontamination activity relies on recognized medical devices, within a highly regulated and demanding environment. Within the research team focused on toxic mechanics, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of existing products and the development of new ones, carrying out an internal and external research program defined by the scientific director, in line with the company's design procedures. You will work closely with the personal decontamination team (Marketing and Business Development) to best meet customer needs. Responsibilities: Lead research projects and develop new products Study contamination and decontamination mechanisms of biological tissue by chemical products Determine the key parameters of these mechanisms (mathematical modeling, in vitro and in vivo testing) Create new molecules based on these key parameters and market/customer needs Design and carry out the experiments needed for research projects Write technical and design files in compliance with applicable standards Document and communicate scientific results Conduct technology watch (literature reviews, patents…) Respond to customer technical inquiries about products and their effectiveness Help simplify scientific results for use by sales teams Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety rules The role does not include remote work. Profile sought
- Degree in engineering
- A PhD in chemistry, physical chemistry or biomedical sciences is a plus
- 3 to 5 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of solution chemistry (chemical equilibrium, complexation, chelation, chemical stability rules, solvation theory, organic chemistry, thermodynamics, chemical kinetics)
- Able to observe chemical phenomena to design and set up laboratory experiments
- Strong aptitude for mathematics
- Good writing skills
- Persistent, rigorous and methodical, with a culture of demonstration
